Sapphire HD 3850 512MB GDDR3 unveiled

 

The card is a reference HD 3850 PCB design, but memory chip change to Qimonda GDDR3 memory chip. The GPU and memory frequency will also be the same to reference version: 668/1655MHz(core/mem).

9600GTS(?) comparison test

 

Our friend in bbs.pconline.com manage to have a comparison test on 9600GTS, 8800GT and HD 3850. The test is done on the same platform. The 9600GT is using a modded 169.09 driver.

In the test the 9600GT have a simular score with HD 3850. All these cards are at their reference clock:

8800GT    600/1500/1800MHz(core/shader/mem)
9600GTS(?)  650/1500/2000MHz(core/shader/mem)
HD 3850   668/1660MHz(core/mem)
