ASUS 8800GT 1GB may have non-reference PCB design
Today rumor said ASUS’8800GT will go for 1G GDDR3, and with the rumor thereis a nice pic. Let’s compare 8800GT 1G to Asus 8800GT 512M, and you will seelot’s of difference.Â

This is an ASUS 8800GT 512MB w/ reference PCB design.

thanks donanimhaber.com, this is a 8800GT 1G.
Using a same set of heatsink fan and heat sink do not mean the actual design is the same.ASUS 8800GT 512MB using a 2 phase power module and 1GB version using 3 phase. And it is clear that the heatsink of the power module moved back compare to 512M version.
Also the power connector of the HSF move down, and the memory chip change its facing. From all this I guess it is a non-reference PCB design 8800GT with 1GB memory.
