Today ASUS unveils their Glacitor fansink and the new utility’s description. With the new utility “SmartDoctor” even a light user can OC the card quite well, and it can OC shader’s frequency independently. Also the cooler seems better and quieter than stock so light user won’t burn their GPU core.
The new cooler and utility will be use on ASUS Radeon HD 3850 256MB, Geforce 8800GT 512MB and 1GB version.

In Interface supporting aspect, HDMI can not get a big share in PC area but Displayport will certainly change this situation. A lot of big shots announce that they will support or they are planning to support Displayport in next gen graphic market including DELL, NVIDIA and AMD. Their new products all support Displayport: AMD’s RV6XX series,NV’s G9X series and Dell’s incoming 3008WFP.
As a user, a graphic card is a very important choice. AMD’s latest product RV620 and RV635 all have integrated Displayport output, so the don’t relay on those convertion chips. It seems AMD want to using this as and advantage, continue on its HDMI interface success of HD 2000 series graphic card.

Ok now we have seem the original 8800GTS, the BFG’s, and the XFX’s. And at OCxtreme we saw the ASUS’s 8800GTS 512M. The card is reference design, GPU also clocked at 650MHz. But the owner of the card OC it a lot, seems want to prove that the G92-8800GTS have a good OCbility.

After BFG 8800GTS OC version, we continue to discover more and more 8800GTS. And this one is from XFX, a reference version 8800GTS with nothing changed but a sticker on the cooler.
