Early stage summary: G92-8800GTS 512MB
Last night NVIDIA finally announced the latest G92 product: 8800GTS 512MB. It’s odd that NV’s official website still hanging the 8800GT and the “awesome power awesome price” in their front-page, but they already updated an press-release in their news page.
In our post we already discussed about the power consumption difference, and also have a detail look at the power module of 8800GT and 8800GTS 512MBοΌ and we even have a 8800GTS strip-off! And during our further reviewing the card we know the extra 16SP actually bring less performance than we expected, but the card really have some OCbility. We are now busy testing the card so please bearing with us, the whole review will be done soon.
And in the morning NVIDIA launched their 169.21 WHQL candidate drivers, adding supports for 8800GTS 512MB. Also in the local market we discovered several company already begin selling 8800GTS like Zotac and Leadtek, and in our fourm there’s more oversea products.
