◆ Final thoughtCompare to HP-1204S, HP-1204S-X have a huge improvement: The thermal radiating surface is 10% more than its predecessor, heatpipe is 8mm, and mounting bracket is better, fan didn’t rumble any more.

In the test we can see the performance also increased. We believe it can handle a even hotter CPU, because the Heatpipe can do even more than this. And the installation is quite simple, it is the most easy installation we encountered in the high end CPU coolers.
The con is cooler only supports one fan. If can officially supports two fan we think it can overtakes Ultra 120 Extreme. Also the supporter stuck CPU, if we want to change CPU, we have to take the mobo out, uninstall the supporter, and take the CPU.
Because PCCOOLER did not begin shipping the final retail version of HP-1204S-X, so we didn’t have luck to see what the package looks like, and what the price is. Let’s hope it have the same price tag as its predecessor’s.
