9600GTS(?) comparison test |
Our friend in bbs.pconline.com manage to have a comparison test on 9600GTS, 8800GT and HD 3850. The test is done on the same platform. The 9600GT is using a modded 169.09 driver.
In the test the 9600GT have a simular score with HD 3850. All these cards are at their reference clock:
8800GT 600/1500/1800MHz(core/shader/mem)
9600GTS(?) 650/1500/2000MHz(core/shader/mem)
HD 3850 668/1660MHz(core/mem)

Test bed
We use Zero HD 2600XT in 3DMark05, and use Sapphire HD3850 in the other three games.

Words coming out form AMD, RV635 will hit the market in Feb ,08. NDA deadline would be January 28th. RV635 will become HD 3650 and HD 3670. HD 3650 will clock at 600/1000MHz(core/men) and HD 3670 will clock at 800/1600MHz(core/mem).

In christmas eve, i received a special present from Santa Claus: an broken 45nm wolfdale dual core CPU.
It is and broken engineering sample with no marks on it. Only the two white dot show it is a 45nm wolfdale.

We managed to have a sneak peek of MCP78s, the upcoming nFocre motherboard with integrated graph processor 8200. The exact date of official announcement is January 28th, 2008.
It is the first mobo that supports Hybrid SLI. But don’t expect the feature can boost up the performance with your xtreme graph card, because it is only an 8200 and it is for mainstream/HTPC purpose.
