NVIDIA nforce MCP78s sneak peek

We managed to have a sneak peek of MCP78s, the upcoming nFocre motherboard with integrated graph processor 8200. The exact date of official announcement  is January 28th, 2008.

It is the first mobo that supports Hybrid SLI. But don’t expect the feature can boost up the performance with your xtreme graph card, because it is only an 8200 and it is for mainstream/HTPC purpose.

As you can see in the pic, MCP78s is a socket AM2+ mobo, supports AMD CPU, including Phenom, Athlon FX/Athlon 64 X2 and Sempron. The board supports DDR2 1066, but if you don’t use an AM2+ CPU it can only supports to DDR2 800.

The board has one PCI Express 2.0 x16, 6 SATAII slots that can support RAID 0,1,10, one Ultra ATA 133/100 HDD slot and up to ten USB2.0. The board integrated an 8 channel High Definition Audio soundcard. Also it has HDMI, DVI and RGB output.
