Skulltrail sneak peek
Three month ago, Intel show off their dual CPU platform Skulltrail in IDF. In those day skulltrail is just a enginering sample. Now seems it comes to final retail stage.
Skulltrail is only for extreme high-end overclockers, and the supply is limited. The mobo D5400XS supports two 45nm quad core,and NVIDIA SLI.
these pics are from Hothardware. We can see the thermal solution is improved from the pervious version. Two nForce 100 MCP chips and the southbridge are coverd by the big gray cooler.
The I/O port is simple. The offical saying is “reserve space for CPU cooling”. Seems the mobo is ready to go.

is this ddr2 or ddr3 and why s it a limited supply ??

FB-DIMM.
Limited supply is intel planed.

Skulltrail doesnt support SLI, it supports dual display via the nforce chips.
Atleast that is what i remember reading somewhere
