[speculation]Striker II Extreme is nForce 790i

Striker II Formula
If you happend to check download section of ASUS’s site these day, you can see a new R.O.G. is coming. The new R.O.G. is Striker II Extreme.
Go to the download section, select motherboard and socket 775, and scroll down the third bar to the end, and you can find Striker II Extreme on the list.
Asus’ naming scheme is easy to guess. The Maximus Formula is Intel X38, Maximus II Formula Maximus Extreme is Intel X48. Formula stands for DDR2 support and Extreme stands for DDR3 support. So Stiker II Extreme must be nForce 790i, with DDR3 support.
And since P5N-T (Ai Lifestyle version 780i) and Striker II Formula looks the very similar, Striker II Extreme and Striker II formula’s only appearance difference may only be the DDR2 and DDR3 slots.

“Maximus II Formula is Intel X48″ - that’s not true, because asus X48 ROG mobo is going to be named Rampage Formula.
