Only in lost planet i noticed huge performance gain with the 8.1 driver. Also as you will see i am starting bencmarking 3870 with oc Q6600@3600mhz vs oc E8400@4200mhz. It is very early but he first two games i tested, call of duty 4 and supreme commander run faster on the Q6600 which for me is surprise since multithreading is not fully implemented in games yet! But maybe those too are actually more multithreaded than some other older games. If expreview would be so king to make a similar test it would be great. Of course I will continue testing. Hello guys! Why not the 3870 which most people use? I know for a fact that 8.1 increased my 3dmark06 score by over 100. Other people reported higher yet. I see this was tested on a 3850.
