HD 3690 128bit/256MB got reviewed

It is a HD 3690, don’t be fooled by that eight memory chips.
HD 3690, based on RV670 but only for $124. The price is cheap enough but how about the performance? more than we can expected.
PCPOP.com post a detailed review on the product. Full reviews is right here in Chinese.

Becides the name and clock, everything is right here.

At long long last all review sites must understand that they should STOP consuming time and energy benchmarking DX10. Bench some more dx9 titles instead.
DX10 is CRAP and the visual improvements are MINIMAL.Noone cares if one card runs at 12 frames and the other at 20. You cannn’t play either.
Nice card this one for a second pc. At 85euros though, no more (124usd=93euros)!

I think Dx10 is not bad, but nV could not solve these codes and forced (for ex. Crysis) coders to use their codes… may be Dx10 games will be more optimalized in future games…
Just watch Crysis and COH Dx10 results. Interesting…

I just don’t get it, please somebody enligtens me. That naked HD 3690 PCB pic, what’s the difference compared with Unika HD 3850 GDDR4 naked board that’s previewed a few weeks ago ? This HD 3690 sample even uses higher grade coils & solid caps, exactly like that Unika board, and the PCB is basically copy exactly of that particular product. Are the memory chips crippled or the PCB is modified, so instead of 8*32 bit we have 8*16 bit resulting a 128 bit buswidth ?

geek_whiz: you are not right. ATI has 38xx and nV has 8800 so all these cards can beat all that you said and none of them are unstable :S. And why not play new games? I don’t understand you…
