[Review] Galaxy 8800GS 384MB
A closer look at Galaxy 8800GS 384MB
The pack is almost the same with galaxy 8800GT.
Galaxy 8800GS 384MB’s PCB is self designed by Galaxy, GPU is G92-150, supports DirectX10 and Shader Model 4.0, integrated with PureVideo HD.
Take off the cooler and you can see the PCB is like Galaxy 8800GT, except it lacks two memory chips.
The I/O interface. From left to right is S-Video+HDMI+DVI
The yellow jumper is for user to mortify GPU voltage.
Galaxy 8800GS 384MB have 3+1 phase power modules. The three phase module feeds GPU and the one phase power module is for memory power supply.
Under the heatsink there are MOSFETs. The two power connectors are for ensure the card can get juicy power supply.
Galaxy’s BIOS jumper, jump to select different BIOS.
Samsung K4J52324QE-BJ08 0.8ns GDDR3 memory chip
There are six memory chips on board totally, the default frequency of the chip is 2000MHz DDR, higher than Palit 8800GS’ 1900MHz GDDR3 memory chip. It seems the card have a nice OCbility.

Been looking for a review of this graphics card for days now came up on this one
I own a MSI RX3850 256MB and I really wanted to see how the 8800GS performed against a card similar to mine or even the 512MB DDR3 version, was a little confuse why you chose to compare an 8800GS with a 3850 with 512 DDR4 which IMHO is not a standard card, so Im still looking for a comparison review thanks anyway.
