memory size 768MB? GeForce 9800GTX info sum-up
Today Fudzilla said the the price of 9800GTX will be β¬399, and giving a wrong spec(graphic memory:768MB). So maybe it is time to re-info the basic spec of the card again.
FYI,you can click on the pic to jump to the original post.
The core of the card is G92-420, reference clock is 675MHz. SP running at 1688MHz. The card uses 512MB GDDR3 memory, memory interface is 256bit. We have already run the card on our X38 and QX9650 @ 4GHz. The score is not too high not too low: 14725.
After we’ve done the performance test, we ran a power consumption test based on another platform:
In the end, someone deep in the industry leaked some pics of this card without a cooling system. From the pic you can clearly notice, the card is 256bit.

Personally I would bet its 512mb. All of the new cards come in either 512 or 1gb. Not that I will ever get this card. I’m happy with my ati 3870 which supports all the latest graphic standards.

399β¬ is ~$600, what a nasty price considering its really shabby performance.
You can get an 8800gtx w/ full 768mb/384bit for significantly less, e.g. $359 at newegg.
Of course it’s only 512mb/256bit, it’s only a slightly OCed 8800gts after all.

Rip-off? Na. Just like the 9600 GT and 8800 GT, MSI or some other company will sell a 1 GB version… I cant believe I had to spell that out.
