Antec planning something werid…
Yesterday we have a small meeting with Antec. After some new product introduction, Rep of Antec show us a this weird fan. The diameter of the fan is 25cm. It have six color change-able LEDs, and the power source is USB.
Personally I think the fan is not for cooling, because the air flow is very weak. Rep said the fan is one part of a new product, which will be release few months later. Guys if you got any idea what is it please leave it in comment.

It is probably for a new Antec 900 like case. I dout it would fit on anything else Antec make!

I agree with Greg. It is an external fan, it is flashy, has a protective grill so it will be in touching distance from the gamer, obviously not for cooling, so it is a game enhancement product. The additional light show ability tells me it is for the ganja gamers.

I gave it some deep thought, and after subjecting all thinkable possibilities to an arduously intense process of elimination, came up with this: could it be a “fan?” You know, one of those spinning blade-type contraptions that some weird people use to move air and cool themselves down with? In this case, of course, one that’s powered by a USB socket and throws off a rainbow of pretty colored lights (presumably for youngsters who missed out on the hippie era and the chromatically titillating excitements of psychedelics.)

This could be one of those fan that simulate directional wind and dynamic light effect in 3d game I think…

Did you ever consider that it was just a Fan? I think they maybe pulling your leg (sort of speak). For example, if you enter my both and I showed you a trash can with lights would that perplex you in any way? Would you still take pictures of it? Or would you think I was playing some sort of joke?
