Another NDA-free review of 9800GX2 and 9800GTX
Both of the cards will be released later, but the crew of Chinese based website it168.com have already got their hands on both 9800GX2 and 9800GTX and posted a full review. The full review is here, and I will highlight some interesting parts:(it is not the best review, but still worth a read)
3DM06:9800GX2 runs better than 3870X2…only in high resoultion.
Hmm, look at 9800GTX,
It is only a demo..and still we can not play it with very high…
HD 3870 X2 just did not work with the game.

3DMark06 points and HL2 results are very close. But Crysis and NFS results show huge difference. We need to see results of other games to decide.
BTW, 9800GX2 is more expensive than 3870X2.

from what i gather the 3870 X2 is the best interms of bang of the money waited for 9800 gx2 due to the reason that i really liked the 6800 ultra in the day now since i am also a AMD guy i will so go with ATI 3870 X2

The pro street would have been easily fixed if they had disabled the crossfire,as most games with crossfire problems are fixed that way. Clearly a driver problem. Once more the sold bastards at EA are sticking with the “Nvidia the way it was meant to be played” and instead of making great games, they focus mostly on making their games to be problematic on ATI cards. WE DON’T GIVE A SHIT FOR YOUR CRAPPY GAMES EA!
Just a reminder. The 9800 GTX will retail at about the same price of 3870X2 if not MORE!

Dream on, PSOLORD… the 9800GTX is shown in official slides to launch at $299-$349, compared to 3870X2’s current $450-$500 price tag, as well as superior performance!!!

When you see low scores in some games for the 3870×2, its most likely due to the fact that crossfire isn’t working in that game. Especially when so many games get paid by Nvidia to favor them as it is.

As you can see, the 3870×2 beats them all in 3dmark. Which of course doesn’t play favorites and crossfire is known to work in it.

Yo wig dnt be stupid… the radeon 3870×2 dilivers abt 5 fps mx then two seperate 3870’s… which in single abt $-169 now… which wud make 2 radeons in abt 320 maxxx
where as the start price for 9800×2 is abt $550 starters!!!

psolord is my friend in athens, this person claimed that the 9800gx2 will cost 700eyro, now this card retails 480 eyro in plaisio shop in athens a far cry from this person opinion, its an ATI fan boy and the last year owned an 8800 gtx because he want to be always in top (complexity disorder).today he owns a 3870 and play crysis at 15 frame on very high.nvidia again prove that its best company and the only respect i have for ati it was the series 90000 products 9700 pro or 9800 pro.even at episode2 9800 gx 2 rape ati ass, an ati game.bb and i hope in the future ati become what it was in the past.

LOL METATRON. Although you are truely a good friend, Ati will kick you Nvidiot ass soon enough again (R700). For now i admit our defeat against 9800gx2 but at a much greater cost.

Again wake up people. The 3870×2 was not meant to compete with the 9800×2 yet it manages to draw a few well weighted punches at it.

Metatron first of all move your head to make sure it is still working.Second 9800gx2 costs at least 130 more than the 3870×2.
Third Plaisio store says we will soon have this product which means they have shit right now and ati already announced that she will drop prices on all products.
And last but not least if there was not 3870 nvidia would still suck your blood with 8800gtx because this is thw kind of shitty company she is.
P.S. Bottom line with all you noobs and mostly reffering to metatron. It doesnt matter which card you have mitso what it matters is that i can kick your ass in any first person even if you are seeing 100fps in youre monitor and i can see only 1fps. I need only one frame to nail you a headshot !!!

To set things straight at dryops post, 130 euros is the price difference in Greece. In the rest of Europe it is 200euros

The 9800GTX isn’t even out until next week and you’re taking that price as true LOL. It’s $100-$150 CHEAPER than 3870X2 FACT. Read the slides. 9800GTX will put final nail in 3870 coffin. Then in summer G200 will beat up r700 until it runs home!!!
3870X2 got OWNED in price… 1 x 9800GX2 get more FPS in 94% games than 2 x 3870X2 and costs LESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! $599 vs $900!!!!!!
