Performance Scaling in SLI mode,Part one

The percentage represents the scaling when 8800GT SLI comparing to 8800GT single: SLI scaling=(SLI – single)single

● 3DMark06

In extreme condition like 19×12 8AA16AF, 174.16 WHQL’s SLI scaling even worse than other old forcewares.

● Bioshock

In this game we can clearly notice the improvements of the drivers. SLI with 169.02WHQL only scales 7~8%, but with the new 174.16WHQL the SLI scaling raise up to more than 80%, crazy.

● Call of Duty 4

No improvement have been done in these drivers, all of them scales the same.
● Company of Heroes

This game is quite wried, 169.02 WHQL have the highest scaling, but its performance is the worst.174.16 have the best performance, but the SLI scaling is the worst.

    how did you use the 174.16 with the 8800gt ?

  3. KTR Says:

    That is very interesting. When the 9600GT runs at a unplayable FPS (below 30FPS), the 8800GT is also runs below 30FPS.

  4. Jeff Says:

    @guillaume,
    edit nv4_disp.inf, add your card’s device ID and you can make it run

  5. FW Says:

    Need to rebench with the latest official 174.53 WHQL drivers for 9600GT. Also the latest 174.74 leaked drivers supports all GF6/7, GF8 and GF9 without needing to mod the inf.
