● Call of Juarez
In medium resolution the game is playable, also the SLI scaling great. But when the resolution went up, scaling goes down.
● Crysis
NVIDIA try to boost SLI setting in this game, but as you can see, all three driver ‘s ratio is still low. Though the game is playable, but game engine still can not fully utilize two GPU.
● Lost Planet
Lost planet is a totally different from Crysis, it have a SLI friendly engine, which can fully utilize both GPU, make the SLI runs great. In this game, except 169.02WHQL medium resolution, all test item shows the scaling can up to 90%.
● Quake Wars
Not a big jump, but we can all notice the new driver have some improved SLI scaling. In high resolution the ratio almost touch 57%.
● World In Conflict
In WIC 174.16WHQL improve a lot in the high resolution. But even with the 53% SLI scaling, the game framerate still lower than 30FPS.

how did you use the 174.16 with the 8800gt ?

That is very interesting. When the 9600GT runs at a unplayable FPS (below 30FPS), the 8800GT is also runs below 30FPS.

Need to rebench with the latest official 174.53 WHQL drivers for 9600GT. Also the latest 174.74 leaked drivers supports all GF6/7, GF8 and GF9 without needing to mod the inf.

@Edd, coz so many countries out there, so we have use newegg to compare.
eg. in our local market(china), the 96GT is only 25% cheaper than 88gt.
where do you live Edd? The price is so…..high..

are you sure you are going to run two 8800GT with M3A32? it is a 790FX chipset which did not support SLI…

Hi yes this board is dual pci and is capable of sli ..Its just in the driver than nvidia gives out that enables/disables the option..And this all comes down to which company has payed for the sli option..

however, Xbitlabs has released a review comparing 9600GT in SLI over 8800GTS 512mb and 9800GTX.
