[Review]GeForce 9600GT 256MB
â—† Overclocking and temperature test
Because the card using a better cooling solution, so we can expect the card have a good temperature performance.

At the same platform, we ran both reference 9600GT 512MB and 9600GT 256MB.

While stressing, Galaxy 9600GT 256MB have a decent temp: 48℃.

At the same clock, 9600GT reference version temp went up to 67℃.
So the cooler is 20℃ better than reference version. Also, in idle mode, two version also have a great difference(Galaxy:33℃, reference:42℃).
We have ran a 9600GT 512MB overclocking test using Rivatuner 2.07. At that time, the core can only went up to 770Mz, let’s see how this time goes.
In standard voltage mode, the clock can went up to 805MHz. What’s more, after we use the core voltage jumper, the core clock can even went up to 825MHz. Also, the default 850MHz, 1.2ns DDR3 memory can raise its clock to 1060MHz while the reference 1.0 DDR3 memory can only OC to 1100MHz.
