Core 2 Duo E7300 VS Phenom X3 8600, Who wins?
As an mid-end product, Intel‘s Core 2 Duo E7300 will facing its rival, AMD’s Phenom X3 8600 in the near future. So who will win the up-coming mid range war? What’s the point of comparing a Quadcore to the X3? Its not in the same price range.

Look closer at the graphs above and you’ll see that the only one that the Phenom X3 scores the highest in is power consumption. Beginning with the Cinebench graph the Phenom X3 on all of the graphs change from the red bars to the purple bars so that means that Phenom with 3 cores can barely beat Core 2 Duo E4500 and loses most of the time to E7xxx and E8200 with 2 cores.

if the X3 was clocked at 2.5ghz it would give almost the same score of e7200.

Don’t be stupid. You forget that the X3 phenom carries with it the TLB bug. It’s B2 based. Wait till the B3 X3 comes along. It will be much faster.

amd have to cut-down
their prices so they can compete in mainstream market

i hope amd have learned a valuable lesson.. if and when amd get there chance next year or early next year i hope they dont give intel any breathing ground as intel has done for over past year… amd should apply that at nvidia as a tester… otherwise amd days are over
