Review: NVIDIA GeForce 9500GT,first budget card in GeForce 9 series
â—† GeForce 9500GT Power consumption test
Both NVIDIA and our sources haven’t speak any words out about 9500GT’s power consumption so the only thing we can do is run our own test. Please notice that the test data is a power consumption of whole platform:
Test Platform:
Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 (333MHzX9)
Foxconn P35A-S | EIST and C1E disabled
GeIL Plus+ DDR2-800 3-3-3-8 2.4V
AVC Napoleon
Seagate 7200.10 250G + WD WD3200YS 320G
Acbel ATX-550CA-AB8FB 550W

We can see that the power consumption of 9500GT is similar to HD 3650, no matter idle or full load. Though HD 3650 is 55nm, and supports Powerplay, but 9500GT once again have two different clock mode, one for 2D and one for 3D.(high end G8X and G9X GPU do not have this feature.)

Can Expreview please retest with the latest leaked Nvidia Geforce 175.63 drivers? Also the GPU-Z version is very old, it’s now up to 0.2.1.
