Galaxy unveils 9600GSO Black Edition
Galaxy told us that they are going to roll out a new product line, called Black Edition. Similar to AMD, Galaxy black edition means more OCbility and bigger graphic memory. The first product of Black Edition is this 9600GSO BE. Click over to read more.
The product have a G92-150 core, 96SP included, equipped with 6 Samsung 32*32 memory module, make it 768MB totally. The card have 3+1 phase VRM( 3 for GPU and one for memory ). Thanks to the CM cooler, the clock can reaches 650MHz/1625/1800MHz (core/shader/Memory). It will be pretty sweet when going high resolution with two 9600GSO in SLI, because the big memory will absolutely benefits.
The product will be release soon, and the price will be 1099CNY, about 158USD. But according the price point of the oversea market, we believe it will be as cheap as under 140USD.

$140 is kinda high too when you consider 9600gt can be had for $110 after rebate and 8800gt can be has for $150 after rebate.
If this card is same as 9600gt prices I think this would be a nice alternative. Kind of defeats the purpose of competing against their own cards.
