Gigabyte now going to war with ASUS…
You may seen the Quad NIC solution by Gigabyte P45-DQ6, and ASUS now also unveils their P5Q Premium: another mobo with Quad NIC. And now Gigabyte said that is their first idea, and seems angry with these..
What’s more, Gigabyte also pointing out ASUS EPU is fake, not only changing numbers without change its hardware, but its EPU control software is actually only “down clock”. Let pics speak for themselves.

I thought Gigabyte and Asus joined the two companies together? How can they be at war with a company they merged or joined?

gigabyte merged with asus years ago, then they split off

They were in talks several months ago of cooperating with each other. However the talks fell apart because both respective companies believed it was for the good of the market and themselves to still remain as separate entities.

Wouldn’t have thought that Asus feels the need for such foul tricks.

Shame on Gigabyte, ASUS has officially filed a lawsuit against Gigabyte for those defamatory acts.
ASUS said that: “Gigabyte misused a photograph with blown-up (exploded) capacitors and led the audience to believe it was an ASUS product to support its false allegations that ASUS uses questionable quality components. However, the image was found to be taken from a photograph of a VGA card manufactured by another vendor. The action of misrepresenting a third party product to be an ASUS product is truly defamatory and clearly outside the realm of decent competition. ”
