[Review]XFX nForce 790i Ultra

Introduction

First impression: lots of non-solid capacitors looks bad, sharp corners may hurt one’s hand… All these just not suit 79i Ultra as a top board of NVIDIA

Back I/O Panel, including 6 USB, 1 1394, 2 PS/2、1 eSATA, S/PDIF output and 2 Gigabit Ethernet connectors.

XFX 790i Ultra SLI is a NVIDIA reference mobo, looks just like 780i and 680i, with the same color scheme and similar layout. The huge cooler and three PCIe X16 is the most appealing part, but just like what we said under the pic, some small details are just simply not good enough, and needs to be polished. The board based on top chipset from NVIDIA, nForce 790i Ultra SLI. It supports 800/1066/1333/1600MHz FSB, 45nm Yorkfield and Wolfdale supported. Four memory slot supports DDR3 up to 2000MHz and EPP 2.0.

    Hi,
fist I would thank you for your great job!!!
but I have a question I hope you’ll answer me:
I’d like to buy this mobo with OCZ Flex II XLC 2 x 1 Go PC16000 and a E8500, is it a good choice to do a good overclock ?

    Thanks
