[Review]XFX nForce 790i Ultra
CPU cooler compatibility Test
In our previous review, we have tested Striker II Extreme and found the board got a serious compattibility issues with certain coolers. And XFX 790i Ultra also have a huge cooler, how’s its compatibility? After measuring, we find out the the board have an area about 9.4cm×10.6cm for CPU coolers. Such an tide spce certainly will block some huge coolers.
The first product we tried is the famous Thermalright Ultra-120. The cooler can not be installed when using normal install method. We have to change its facing 90 degrees to fit the mobo.
But other three huge cooler can be installed to mobo: Tower120, Zalman CNPS9700,ZEROtherm NV120.

but I have a question I hope you’ll answer me:
I’d like to buy this mobo with OCZ Flex II XLC 2 x 1 Go PC16000 and a E8500, is it a good choice to do a good overclock ?
