i just hope that it can work with 6 to 8 pin like the old ati cards

    DX 11?

DX10, GDDR3, same pcb design as 9800GTX, same cooler as 9800GTX and nearly same coolercase as 9800GTX. nVidia keep too much the old things!

ATI is at least moving forward with GDDR5, DX10.1!

to darsky. PCB is not the same, 9800 doestn’t have small chip like g80. (left side from GPU) so pcb is much close to g80.

    to darksy:

Nvidia has increased by 87,5% the shaders of the 8800gtx, and AMD has increased by 50% the shaders of the 3870. I remember you that Nvidia GTX280 is a 512bit card with 32 rop’s, and the 4870 is only 256bit card with 16 rop’s. AMD needs VERY FAST ddr speeds to adquire a decent BW (around 4ghz memory speed). Nvidia has a more powerful card than AMD. This time Nvidia will have more advantage.

DX10.1 has little improvements over standard DX10. It has no better quality effects… only improves performance of antialiasing. With a 512 real bus… DX10.1 its innecessary.

AMD needs more efficiency and less innovation, if they want to survive.

Yes it’s true that DX 10.1 only gives minor improvements you should be very confident if ATI supports DX 11 but it does not so don’t get too happy.
