[ComputeX'08 Coverage] Intel X58 mobo going wild: DX58SO

In Intel’s booth, they are showing off X58 mobo right now. Click over to read some details.

Tri-Channel!

The X58 is the first Nehalem mobo, will be available in the end of this year.

The layout is different to today’s scheme: VRM located in the middle of the board, PCIe and CPU slot is right next to it. Because northbridge no more contains memory controller so it seems no overheating problem there, only a weak heatsink can solve the heat.

Looks like a LGA 775 clot, but bigger.
