980MHz x 3 x GTX280 = Extreme 17241

K|ngp|n was able to overclocked the GTX 280 from 602MHz to 980MHz. What’s more, taking advantage of a tri-sli, the platform scored the amazing X17241 in 3DMark Vantage Extreme.As far as we know in the ORB, the top just scored X9652.the platform is listed as follow：

CPU: QX9650 F1 extreme
Chipset: 790iSLI
Graphic Card: EVGA gtx280 3-way SLI（TEK 4.0 LN2 cooled）
Memory: CORSAIR DOMINATOR 1800C7
Power: SILVERSTONE 1200W + CORSAIR HX1000W

CPU has been overclocked from 3000MHz to 5605MHz

GTX 280 has been overclocked to 980/1963/1198MHz

Besides, K|ngp|n was also able to overclock GTX 280 to 760MHz on air with stock volts, and, achieved X14717.

    guru3d.com achived around 21000 points in 3dmark vantage at stock speeds!!! 3-way sli though

    guru3d used performance settings not extreme.
