[Autopsy] ATI Radeon HD 4870 512MB 256bit

In 25th of this month (some say it will announce in July 8th) the first graphic card with GDDR5 memory module will be announced. The ATI Radeon HD 4870 utilized with 800 shader processors and 512MB GDDR5 memory and 256bit memory interface. When it comes out, the price will be as low as 299USD. Actually it is selling in HK with the price tag 320USD. now let’s see its Autopsy pics.
And, it beats GTX 260, in price and performance. Our review will be out in days, keep tuned.

The card

Heat notice,seems the card will be hot.

AMD use a red metal board and many screws to strength the card’s PCB.

You can see the VRM part take over almost half of the card

HD 4870 uses 59PR9853 Multi-Phase SMD Coupled Inductor for GPU power supply, a really high quanlity one.

The cooler

Two big heatpipe connect the core and the fin by using Fin Penetration

The heatpipes are really huge!

The fan, DC12V 1A, in full load it will produce huge noice
