No, it is not a port or a mod…Radeon cards CAN support CUDA, officially.
Back to the ComputeX days, my boss talked to the NVIDIA guy Ujesh Desai, general manager of desktop GPU. Mr.Desai said Radeon can fully support CUDA.
“If AMD want it, they can go to our website and download CUDA. You konw, CUDA is open, it is free!” Mr.Desai said.
Of course AMD won’t do that. They turned to Havok and sign the contract, just like they did it years ago… but guys over at NGOHQ “helped” them to get PhysX because PhysX is a CUDA application.
So Radeon is the only card that can support Havok and Physic, if the both development goes well. Hats off to NGOHQ.

Yes, I have been watching NGOHQ for a long time, they bring modified drivers (the best in my opinion) for both Nvidia and ATI. Now they bring this as a preview of things to come. Good going ATI.
