GeForce 9800GTX+ announcment date: July 16th

As an official answer to AMD’s Radeon HD 4850, NVIDIA will launch 9800GTX+ in July 16th. Previously we said the day will be July 25, and it seems NV want to push it. Though NVIDIA will give production right to its partners but the first wave will be NVIDIA reference version only.
This time the reference version will be quite “Deluxe”: 12 layer PCB, decent VRM like 9800GTX and Samsung 0.8ns GDDR3 memory module.
Inno3D have send us some official pic of the card, let’s enjoy.

lol these have already lost to the AMD HD 4870 in price and performance big time. when the AMD R700 come out in August, it will take the crown to which nvidia has no answer but to only drop prices which isn’t helping as nvidia`s cards are to expensive to build… nvidia has lost 50% of shares in 3 days WoW

I’m pretty sure these cards are aimed at the price range of the 4850. This card is only $20 more than the 4850(‘cept the ones with a rebate), but performs better. Although, if I’m spending this much for a card, I’d rather spend a little more money for the 4870. Either that or buy the cheaper, slightly downclocked 9800gtx.
