AMD R700 slides leaked, with lots details

 

R700 aka. HD 4870X2  has been rumored to be the best performance king of high end VGA cards, and slides coming from AMD seems to proved this. These Slides told us R700 codenamed Spartan, providing  as much as 2.4TFLOPS performance.

The card have sixteen 32Mx32 GDDR5 modules, make it totally 2GB. So each RV770 core can be feeded with 1GB GDDR5 via 256bit memory interface. Yes, that sounds more than 200% better than a single RV770. The card will ship after August 14th, So let’s see what it can do.

NV receive QPI license, give X58 SLI permit by selling chips

 

Sources hints NVIDIA have already got Intel QPI license, but they won’t hush to unveil any high end mobo, because it is already too late since X58 is just around the corner of 08′Q4. The company did not expect too much high end user will choose the high end Bloomfield CPU when it is still in the early stage.
