AMD R700 slides leaked, with lots details
R700 aka. HD 4870X2Β has been rumored to be the best performance king of high end VGA cards, and slides coming from AMD seems to proved this. These Slides told us R700 codenamed Spartan, providingΒ as much as 2.4TFLOPS performance.
The card have sixteen 32Mx32 GDDR5 modules, make it totally 2GB. So each RV770 core can be feeded with 1GB GDDR5 via 256bit memory interface. Yes, that sounds more than 200% better than a single RV770. The card will ship after August 14th, So let’s see what it can do.

come on amd i have waited long enough now, plus by the time you bring them out nvidia prolly bring anther one out lol… amd wont be laughing though coz they in deep trouble already compared to nvidia from there cpu line up which is getting a kicking even while its down begging for mercy… hopefully after firing hector things will be better from now on. come on amd we are waiting for the good stuff from the cpu line now… if it dont happen soon it was nice while you was around to bring good prices to everyone.. forcing down prices is a trade mark of amd and we dont want to lose that just as in the gpu line.. my prays go out to you amd/ati

1 gb per core? that probably means that they will have identical data on them, so only 1 gb effective

i doubt that there will be a gtx gx2 to go against this one, but maybe an ultra 280 of some sort

This card will nothing againt GTX 280 GX2
(in SLI).
