Q6600 becomes the first Intel quad core CPU below $200

 

Intel is cutting price on 4 CPUs. The quad core Q6600 now drops to $193(-14%), and dual core E8500, E8400 and E7200 drops to $183(-31%), $163(-11%) and $113(-15%) respectively.

FutureMark refuses PhysX scores from Hall of Fame

 

PhysX seems cheated Vantage

Just a Month ago NVIDIA released its PhysX Driver. Ironically, we rarely see any improvement practically, but drastic enhancement in 3DMark Vantage only. Furturemore, CJ even told us PhysX overwrites Vantage files.

Now Tero Sarkkinen, CEO of FutureMark, disclosed that Hall of Fame will refuse all results using PhysX on GPU. In his correspondances with a user he unveiled they “have updated filtering system coming up which will handle the runs which are not following Futuremark’s guidelines”. Accordingly, users must completely remove PhysX and install a FutureMark approved WHQL driver to make his result got pass.
