FutureMark refuses PhysX scores from Hall of Fame

PhysX seems cheated Vantage

Just a Month ago NVIDIA released its PhysX Driver. Ironically, we rarely see any improvement practically, but drastic enhancement in 3DMark Vantage only. Furturemore, CJ even told us PhysX overwrites Vantage files.

Now Tero Sarkkinen, CEO of FutureMark, disclosed that Hall of Fame will refuse all results using PhysX on GPU. In his correspondances with a user he unveiled they “have updated filtering system coming up which will handle the runs which are not following Futuremark’s guidelines”. Accordingly, users must completely remove PhysX and install a FutureMark approved WHQL driver to make his result got pass.

Besides, there is a software named NV PhysX Tweaker to turn off PhysX. However, PhysX overwrites Vantage files thus that maynot work too. But user can still use a regular PPU card with an Ageia PhysX processor to boost score in Vantage.

I wrote it before, and I will write it again. Nvidia cheated in the past, they cheated now, and they will cheat again. They have fast graphics cards and yet still won’t play evenly.

I’m sure Futuremark is paid by Nvidia for adding it. Funny how they will add something like this to benefit the Nvidia cards, yet they won’t add DX10.1 which is the official standard, which would benefit the ATI cards. Which to me is proof enough of their relationship with Nvidia.
