India develops $10 laptop for education(update)
Indian Institute Of Science and Indian Institute Of Technology are working together to develop a new $10 laptop. Aimed to be used for education purpose, the $10 laptop will sustain education in depressed area.
Besides Indian government is also planning to set out a program providing free bandwidth to all citizens.
MIT’s $100 Laptop
As we know, after the OLPC advanced the plan providing computers for poor family, MIT had developed the $100 PC. Unfortunately, it’s sold at $180 now. As having a second ranking population, perhaps india are profound aware of the desire of education of poor people. Let’s except their research.
Recently India government clearified that $10 laptop is a typo, $100 is the true value.
