Gigabyte’s Atom package GA-GC230D, featuring a Atom 230 CPU as well as the Intel 945GC + ICH7 chipsets, is on sale in Japan and Korea now,priced at $125.

As Intel put some restrictions onAtom platform, GA-GC230D has only two SATA ports with no PCIe support. Considering atom platform doesn’t support dual channel DDR2, the single DIMM slot make sense for reducing cost, but lacking expansibility.

However, Gigabyte adds limited features on the platform. The Ultra Durable technology features all-solid capacitors design and overclocking settings are provided in the BIOS.
