Ibex Peak to have 64 PCIe 2.0 lane?! *Updated*

Intel recently updated their roadmap, announcing more informations of Ibex Peak.
Intel wants Ibex Peak to be ready in August/September 2009, which is slightly earlier than expected, so Trusted USB and PS/2 input will be canned, some other feature will also be under investigation for launch readiness.
There will be four platforms using Ibex Peak: Calpella for mobile products, Piketon for enterprise users, Kings Creek for DIY/normal users, and Foxhollow for workstation/Sever applications.
Intel will add a new “Configuration Feature” for Ibex Peak. the feature can configure processor based on different product combinations. I think this feature is built for capabilities with Lynnfield and Havendale. Lynnfield is a Quad core CPU and Havendale is a Dual core with Graphic core built in, so they need different configuration to suit, but no more word for this “Configuration Feature” so we don’t know it is only a stuff that can help board partners to design mobos or a new BIOS feature.
Other than that, from the summary chart we can see Ibex Peak has as much as 64 lane for PCIe slot! FYI X58 only got 32X for graphic. Since it is still in early stage so we don’t know if they will apply all 64 lane to graphic slot but that is a insane number after all.
EDIT: Thanks Shintai for pointing out this huge mistake. Ibex Peak only have 8 PCIe lanes, because PCIe 2.0 Graphic card will directly link to Nehalem processor, so having 64 lane is not making any sense. The chart should read like this: “Ibex Peak can have 8 PCIe 2.0 port, total bandwidth is 2.5GT/s.”

[...] What can talk mainstream HavenDale and Lynnfield without Ibex peak, which features single chip design. There’s only one chip instead of two(North bridge and South bridge) on board, and which features Socket 1160. To know more about Ibex Peak, you can read our earlier report. [...]
