It’s no secrete multi-layer technology used in optical storage, but 20 layers in blu-ray should be a new number. Pioneer new work its 500GB Blu-ray disc out with 20 layers in a single disc, with 25GB per layer.

The industry has predicted 20-layer technology will appear in 2010-2012, but now it’s out, in Lab at least. They push the ‘CrossTalk’ limitation to a new level.
