[Tools update] ExpertTool V4.0, enable fan control on HD 4850/4870
Expertool V4.0 is a light weight ATI card utility. It is the first utility to provide fan speed control for HD 4850 and HD 4870. It is a international release, at lease it support both Chinese and English Windows.
Supports All reference HD 4870/4850, did not tested with non-ref version.
We encounter a small bug when playing with Expertool, the fixed speed can not adjusted lower to 50%.

The 50% “bug” is not a bug because the Nvidia version has the same “bug”. Gainward just made it that way.
The tool also works on the new 4870X2

Works great! PLEASE fix so the speed can be lower than 50%!!! would be awesome cuz anything above 35% is too loud for many people…Great tool keep up the good work!

I’d like to have the speed below 50% too.
And also, why are 2D and 3D speeds always the same? When I adjust the 3D speed for example from 50% to 80%, the 2D speed will follow.
That I could adjust different speeds for 2D and 3D is more important than being able to adjust the speed below 50%, though ^^

Fix so the speed can be lower than 50%. 35% would be nice. Thank you.

Download and Install new beta Ati Tray Tools its much better and has a overclocking options even

I have set my fan speed at 33 %. 50% is way too much for me…
