The DP-120/160 chips can transcode USB signal into DVI signal

If you found dual monitors output isn’t adequate and want more, DisplayLink technology will satisfy you. The DP-120/160 chips will transcode USB signal into DVI signal. Accordingly, picutres can be output to a monitor through a USB cable instead of a coarse, clumsy DVI cable, and now this technology will also appears on Intel’s chipsets.

DisplayLink will provide this technology through a license model. Inte’s 4 series chipsets for desktop and notebook display will support this technology. In addition to the original dual-monitor outputs by the integrated graphics chip, two more displays can be connected via USB ports.
