Despite the rumors saying they’re about to quit chipsets market, NVIDIA is planning to set off the 770i chipsets which based on the high-end 790i chipset.

As the roadmap shows, 770i will support DDR3-1333 and 2-way SLI. NVIDIA also raise a concept modifying the 790i footprint and allowing 3-way SLI with full PCIe 2.0 support.

The 770i is expected to be announce in Q4 2008. Its competitor seems to be Intel’s P45 chipsets.
