RV710 architecture disclosed

 

Radeon HD 4550 is going to ship at the end of September, but some of the documents have already been found, and the architecture of RV710 have been disclosed. The amount of transistors are 242 million, less than RV 730’s 514 million. This is because HD 4550 have only 80 shaders, and HD 4650 have 320 shaders.

ForceWare 177.98 WHQL VS 177.92 Beta

 

ForceWare 177.98 WHQL may become the last driver of the 177 family. After this NVIDIA are going to roll out their Big Bang II. So this time how well the 177.98 performs?

New? Old? three ways of GTX 260 Discriminations

 

So NVIDIA decided that they are not going to change name of the new 216sp GTX 260, we’d better find a way to tell the new 260 from the old.
