Ultra 120 Extreme cu limited edition coming soon *UPDATE*


According to Thermalright rep, the company will unveil a Ultra-120 Extreme limited edition next month. It’s made of copper completely and weights as much as 3 kg, which makes it to be the heaviest cooler so far. It will be sold at $99. Thermalright will only have 3000 PCs available, so if you have special interest with U120E, don’t forget to grab one in October!

UPDATE: Thermalright rep have gave us wrong data, it should be around 1.8KG.

    u mean 1,5 kg and 3 lbs, wich mainboard can hold a 3kg heavy cooler

    I agree, it’s probably 3 lbs or 1.4kg. In any case, that’s WAY too much for a motherboard, I would never recommend using such a thing. Only 3000 will be made, because at $99, they won’t sell a lot!

    copper has a higher thermal conductivity than aluminum so these will mean that it cools more but copper is heavier than aluminum so this sh*t is heavy. at $99, why not, attaching it to a $500 motherboard is a different story (for me, i won’t risk having my board bent or broken, especially if it’s a $500 board)
