Kuma to become Athlon X2 7550/7750

Related: Kuma review
AMD is going to pick up the Kuma core. Back in September we have reviewed an ES version Kuma. At that time we thought the Kuma would become Athlon 6500+. But no words in AMD’s September roadmap about Kuma, we think AMD have dropped it.
But when we saw AMD’s October roadmap, Kuma appears and branded asβAthlon X2 7550/7750β.
According to the roadmap, Athlon X2 7550 will be a 2.5GHz Kuma, except the clock all other spec is the same with our ES version. Athlon X2 7750 runs at 2.7GHz. For cache,TDPΒ and other information, you can read the chart we compiled.
So there is no more Athlon 6500+, AMD wants Kuma to be 7 series dual core. Both of the chips will come out in 09Q1. The company positioned Kuma to encounter intel E7400 and E7300. Do you think Kuma can beat them? Tell us how you think about it!

I think Kuma will give intel some headaches when it comes to dual core performance.
Kuma beats current Athlon X2 processors at the same clock speed (better ipc).
At last, AMD has a chance on the low-end with this processor. I’m stil waiting for them to deliver something really appealing on the high-end.

Fuck sake AMD, quit dicking around and release this chip already >:O
They’re really taking their sweet ass time

Kuma can beat e7200 ONLY if priced 85$ & 77$ for 7750 & 7550 and remove elder athlon 64 X2 from market >
But if AMD open multiplayer it’s worth 10$ over >
Q: What thing prevent amd from release kuma NOW?
Good lock AMD

Cut the crap. This failed quad-core is not energy efficient, its per Mhz slower than C2D. The new version of Athlon 6000+ 3,1Ghz with 76W TDP is faster. Everybody can fake up these CPU-Z screens and tables. I want some proper review, not something your sources see on sauces. I can fake up AMD Fusion review if u want.

AMD SUCKS YOU WILL FAIL HARD
LIKE YOU ALWAYS DO
THE ONLY THING YOU ARE GOOD FOR IS COMPETETIONS
SO PLEASE DO KEEP UP YOUR TRYHARD ATTEMPTS
NO IAM NOT SHOUTING THATS VOLUME RELATED, IAM ONLY TYPING IN CAPS

VERY GOOD AMD to release dual core to phenom core
this will become replace e7200 ” I hope”
cheers AMD

@ required, these are NOT quad-cores, Athlon X2, Dual core.

Athlons and Phenoms are history. Fusion is the future http://img357.imageshack.us/my.php?image=fusionjc7.jpg

@ quad, nice photoshop image.
A144EF11 isn’t even a valid Super PI checksum.
fake.

Not photoshop, pure paint. Valid it is, ran one on my windsor 5600+ resulting ~28s, thats more than 5s faster than 6500+ Kuma. My CPU is Orthos stable 3,33Ghz Vista / 3,4Ghz XP 1,45v and I can clock it even higher with Asus AI Booster. Yes indeed, 6500+ is failed X4 or should I say X3, thats why these have same TDP. I don’t understand why people get so excited over those 4Ghz Deneb screens.

Amd is too late for competition with Intel with this Kuma thing. Any body heard Intel saying they can provide QUAD cores for $100? But intel hold it back because there was no competition!
December 15th, 2008 at 5:45 pm
Competition eh..
AMD outperform Intel on the mid-end.
Old second-hand CPUs outperform everything on low-end.
But sadly Intel outperforms _completly_ on high-end.
That means intel has monopoly on that segment. Which
is extremly bad for us costumers.
And Intel is financially gigantic compared
to AMD. We’re screwed for a long long time ;(

first of all in time amd will shine but i prefer to buy a phenom 2 for right now than core i7 intel is great but when u want real gaming amd or get a PS3 which kills intel why because its made by whom ibm and its cell technology caperble of a million core i7s sony rules

like i say if u want real gaming buy a vedio game system PS3 Xbox 360 they better i out
