Foxconn denies quiting from branded mainboard market

Rumors circulate around these days. According to Digitimes, Foxconn is going to quit from branded mainboard market. But today Foxconn officially denied the rumor.

Words from channel vendors said Foxconn sales department has stopped taking orders for several mainboard models, and also stopped shipment volume forcasts for all mainboard product models, and this will be the first step of quitting the business.

As soon as we heard the rumor, we contacted Eric Zhu, channel manager of Foxconn. He said the rumor is not true, Foxconn has no plan to quit from branded mainboard market. The sales department is only adjusting the existing stock product for a few days, the adjusting doesn’t mean stopping branded mainboard business.

To show us how good they’ve done, Eric Zhu said their total amount of mainboard shipment outnumbers ECS or other similar brands. Also, Eric points out Foxconn’s new products will be released on time, including the upcoming X58 mainboard, Blood Rage and Renaissance, that will be the best answer to the rumors.
