Several Intel CPUs About to Leave the Market Soon
Contrary to new product’s proud show-up, the products usually leave silently. The succession of the old products by the new is very natural, no matter how successful the old were.
Intel has announced the list of PDN and EOL CPUs till Q3 2009.
PDN CPUs this November: Core 2 Quad Q9450 and Core 2 Duo E6850
PDN CPUs this December: C ore 2 Quad Q6700 and Core 2 Duo E4700
The above four items will quit the market in Q1 next year.
The following 6 items CPUs will also go out of introduction in Q1 next year, and withdraw from the market in Q2:
Core 2 Extreme QX9770/QX9650, Core 2 Quad Q6600, Core 2 Duo E8300, Pentium E2200/E2100 and Celeron E1200.
Core 2 Duo E7200 and Pentium E2200 will be discontinued in Q2 2009 and quit from the market in Q3.
In comparison, last month Intel launched three new items of CPUs – Core 2 Quad Q8300, Pentium E5300 and Celeron E1500. 65W Core 2 Quad processor is coming out as scheduled in January 2009.
