55nm GeForce GTX260 Hit Japanese Market

We ever predicted that 55nm GeForce GTX260 would be not on sale until January 2009, but Inno3D GeForce GTX260 based on 55nm processing has managed to hit the Japanese market before Christmas.

It’s not quite different from previous version of GTX260, but the mark of 216SP, 55nm tells us clearly this is something new.

There is no frame buffer on the rear side of PCB board. All 896MB gathers on the front side.

The core/memory clock of Inno3D 55nm GTX260 has improved to 620/1050MHz, which is different from our expectation that it would remain as before (620/1050MHz). The shader frequency is unknown yet, but very likely to be higher than old version. We can expect it for about 1333MHz. The pricing of this card is around $385. Considering 65nm GTX260 is available at $292, its price sounds not quite attractive.
