AMD is reportedly preparing for a new dual-core CPU codenamed Callisto. Judging from AMD’s roadmap earlier, their triple-core processor Heka is just Deneb without one core. Now it’s just the same story. AMD is going to remove another core of Heka to form Callisto. Though the number of cores reduces, Callisto still features massive 6MB L3 cache and 1MB L2 cache, which sounds quite attractive.
