Intel has announced the launch of its new Xeon processors including 12 models of Xeon 5500 Series dual-core processors and 3 models of Xeon W3500 Series single-core processors. Actually, they’ve already made an appearance in AKIBA for sale.

Intel ever claimed the new Xeon processor is the most revolutionary server CPU for 15 years. They’re all based on Nehalem structure and feature QPI bus just as destop Core i7. With intergrated DDR3 memory controller, Xeon Series feature several breakthrough technologies including Turbo Boost Technology, QuickPath Technology and Hyper-threading Technology.

The Xeon EP Low Voltage Series have been available as well as Xeon 5500 Series.
