Intel Sets Target to 22nm Process

IBM alliance has said that they’re working on 28nm technology, and let’s check out what Intel has to say. According to a recent post at Brightsideofnews, the half-node such as 28nm process is typically never used with CPUs. The products such as Ivy Bridge, Haswell and Larrabee will turn to 22nm full-node technology.
Intel has been keeping its tick-tock model, so the 32nm products should be out by the end of this year, and 22nm process will hopefully appear in 2011.
GPUs use every possible manufacturing step since they feature much more core-logic and die-shrinks result in significant power savings. CPU designs are limited by the large amount of cache, and a half-node process would not yield with a significant gain, either in clocks or power. Thus, Intel decides to stick their upcoming GPU, including heavily-invested Larrabee, to full-node process.

I really don’t suspect we should be placing on loincloths made of dingo skin, far better than we’ve been qualified to routine. Far more we realize it happens to be well the courses, is going to be superior.

Thanks. It looks like an interesting film. Maybe I can watch it this weekend, but I think my boyfriend wants a break from all these movie nights
